Conceived in the mind of a child growing up in the foothills of Snowdonia, the concept is simple but the reality is strangely rewarding… To travel from actual sea level to the summit of Cader Idris by human power alone.
In 2017, the Cancer charity BLOODWISE, will be hosting this epic event. There will be two route options this year, comprising of The Caderman Sprint distance or the all new Caderman Extreme 70.3 route.
The Caderman Triathlon is the newest triathlon in the Bloodwise calendar and will take you from sea level to summit in one day. There are two options, the sprint distance or if you think you are tough enough, why not sign up for the extreme half-ironman distance?!
The sea swim takes place in Tywyn, where the surf is usually kicked up by strong winds, whipping across the Irish sea. Even during August a wetsuit is mandatory! You’ll then head off and cycle to Dolgellau – this won’t be an easy ride, you’ll be doing some extreme elevations no matter which route you choose, but the views are worth all that effort and then just as an added bonus, you’ll finish off by running up Cader Idris!
